Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drugs and alcohol have the choice of going to a drug rehab program that is specially designed for gays or lesbians. Making the decision to enroll into one of these programs is a very good first step towards recovery. During rehabilitation recovering addicts not only deal with their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal issues they are having difficulties with.
