Detoxification services typically include insuring the client is as comfortable as possible while detoxing and going through drug or alcohol withdrawal, delivering proper nutrition and making certain the individual is getting proper rest, and providing supplements and medicine as needed to make the detoxification process as easy and safe as possible. The person in detox will sometimes be encouraged to take part in some form of physical activity such as walking, yoga, etc. At a drug detoxification facility or drug rehabilitation facility which can provide detoxification services, the individual will have detox staff at their disposal around the clock to assure that any complications are handled as swiftly and safely as possible.
