Gays and Lesbians - Gheens

Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drug abuse have the choice of attending a drug treatment facility that is specially intended for gays or lesbians. Making the decision to go to one of these programs is an excellent first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only address their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal issues they are having difficulties with. Gays and Lesbians in treatment take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved. Counseling and/or therapy aids in resolving issues with shame, Isolation, feelings of rejection, discomfort in one's own skin, etc. Once treatment is complete they will be able to feel stronger about who they are and be able to live happily without the desire to use drugs.
