Lowden - Criminal Justice Clients

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients court sentence. In order to provide these individuals the treatment they need, there are a few steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol treatment facility. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehabilitation during their time in the Lowden, Iowa criminal justice system. Their case is reviewed by a panel who decides if they are in need of drug treatment services and if so how much and what type is necessary. Additionally, when the client is evaluated for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health problems as well. Their drug addiction problem, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining variables in the creation of the rehabilitation plan.
