Detoxification services generally include insuring the individual is as relaxed as possible while detoxing and going through drug or alcohol withdrawal, supplying proper nutrition and ensuring the individual is receiving proper rest, and supplying supplements and medicine as required to make the detoxification process as easy and safe as possible. The individual in detox will sometimes be encouraged to take part in some form of physical activity such as walking, yoga, etc. At a drug detox facility or drug treatment facility which can provide detoxification services, the individual will have detox staff at their disposal around the clock to ensure that any difficulties are handled as quickly and safely as possible.
