Agency - Criminal Justice Clients

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to provide these clients the rehabilitation they need, there are some steps that need to be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehab program. First, they need to find out if they are eligible for drug rehab during their time in the Agency, Missouri criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who makes the decision if they are in need of rehabilitation and if so how much and what type is needed. Additionally, when they are evaluated for drug addiction problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health issues as well. Severity of addiction, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous substance abuse history are all determining factors in the creation of a criminal justice treatment plan.
