Detoxification services are supplied at either a professional drug or alcohol detox facility or a drug treatment facility which can effectively oversee and supply medical supervision for persons who are just coming off of drugs. Detoxification services usually include insuring the individual is as relaxed as possible while detoxing and going through drug or alcohol withdrawal, supplying proper nutrition and ensuring the person is receiving proper rest, and supplying supplements and medicine as necessary to make the detoxification process as easy and safe as possible. The individual in detox will sometimes be encouraged to take part in some type of physical activity such as walking, yoga, etc. At a drug detox facility or drug rehab facility which can offer detoxification services, the client will have detox staff at their disposal around the clock to make certain that any issues are fixed as swiftly and safely as possible.
