Drug or alcohol treatment is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients court sentence. In order to get these individuals the treatment they need, there are a few steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehabilitation while involved in the Callands, Virginia criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who decides if they are in need of rehabilitation and if so how much and what type is needed. Furthermore, when they are screened for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health problems as well. Their drug addiction problem, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining variables in the creation of the rehabilitation plan.
