Drug or alcohol rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to get these individuals the rehabilitation they need, there are a few steps that need to be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehab facility. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug treatment during their time in the Center Point, Iowa criminal justice system. Their case is reviewed by a panel who makes the decision if they are in need of treatment and if so how much and what type is necessary. Additionally, when the client is evaluated for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health problems as well. Their drug addiction problem, mental health problems, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining variables in the creation of a criminal justice rehabilitation plan.
