Drug treatment is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients court sentence. In order to provide these individuals the treatment they need, there are a few steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol treatment center. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug treatment during their time in the Centerpoint, Indiana criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who decides if they are in need of drug treatment services and if so how much and what type is needed. Furthermore, when the client is evaluated for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health problems as well. Their drug addiction problem, mental health problems, criminal activity, sentence length and previous substance abuse history are all determining factors in the creation of the treatment plan.
