Gays and Lesbians - Cross Fork

Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drug addiction have the option of attending a drug treatment program that is specifically intended for gays or lesbians. Deciding to enroll into one of these programs is a great first step towards recovery. During rehabilitation recovering addicts not only deal with their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal problems they are having difficulties with. Gays and Lesbians in recovery examine how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved. Counseling and/or therapy aids in resolving issues with shame, Isolation, discomfort in one's own skin, feelings of rejection, etc. Once rehabilitation is complete they will be able to feel stronger about who they are and be able to live happily without the desire to use drugs.
