While both parts of TriCare (TriCare Standard and TriCare Extra) cover drug rehabilitation, only some VA benefits cover the expense of substance abuse recovery. Once you have spoken with your military insurance representative (e.g., VA, TRICARE) and have a full understanding of what they will cover regarding addiction treatment you can begin researching drug rehab programs. Be sure to speak to the billing department to make sure that they accept your military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE).
