Detoxification - Fallon

Men and women who are physically reliant to drugs or alcohol and want help will first go through detox before getting other treatment services in drug rehab. Detoxification is basically the process of the drug being eliminated from one's system, which is often uncomfortable and may carry risks if not performed in a setting which can offer appropriate support and medical intervention as necessary. Detoxification services are provided at either a professional drug or alcohol detoxification facility or a drug rehab facility which can adequately oversee and provide medical supervision for people who are just coming off of drugs. Detoxification services usually include insuring the person is as relaxed as possible while detoxing and going through drug or alcohol withdrawal, supplying proper nutrition and ensuring the particular person is receiving proper rest, and providing supplements and medicine as needed to make the detox process as easy and safe as possible. The person in detox will sometimes be encouraged to take part in some form of physical activity such as walking, yoga, etc. At a drug detox facility or drug rehabilitation facility which can offer detoxification services, the client will have detoxification staff at their disposal around the clock to assure that any complications are handled as rapidly and safely as possible.
