Drug rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to get these clients the rehabilitation they need, there are some specific steps that need to be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehab program. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug treatment during their time in the Fountain, Minnesota criminal justice system. Their case is reviewed by a panel who determines if they are in need of rehabilitation and if so how much and what type is necessary. Furthermore, when the client is screened for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health issues as well. Their drug addiction problem, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining variables in the creation of the rehabilitation plan.
