Gays and Lesbians - Galt

Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drugs and alcohol have the option of attending a drug treatment center that is specifically designed for them. Making the decision to attend one of these programs is a great first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only deal with their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also address other emotional and personal issues they are struggling with. Gays and Lesbians in recovery take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved. Counseling and/or therapy helps in resolving issues with isolation, shame, discomfort in one's own skin, feelings of rejection, etc. Once treatment is complete they will be able to feel more secure about who they are and be able to live happily without the desire to use drugs.
