Drug rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to get these clients the treatment they need, there are a few steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol treatment facility. First, they need to find out if they are eligible for drug treatment while involved in the Hensley, Arkansas criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who makes the decision if they are in need of treatment and if so how much and what type is necessary. Furthermore, when they are evaluated for drug addiction problems, the client is also screened for mental health problems as well. Severity of addiction, mental health problems, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining variables in the creation of a criminal justice treatment plan.
