Drug and alcohol treatment facilities for women are a very good way for female substance abusers to handle their addiction problems in an all-female setting. There are many advantages to attending a drug or alcohol treatment facility for women such as the fact that such programs cater to issues specific to their female clients. While receiving treatment in an all women rehab facility the client will also work on personal issues such as problems with their husbands, boyfriends and/or men in general. Most women struggling with drug or alcohol addiction also struggle with physical or sexual abuse from their past. Dealing with these delicate issues while in treatment will give the recovering woman the ability to face her problems in an environment that is supportive and free from judgment.
