There are a lot of ways to get part or all of your drug treatment covered. For those who have military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE) you will need to contact your provider directly to see exactly what you are eligible for. While both parts of TriCare (TriCare Standard and TriCare Extra) cover drug treatment, only some VA benefits cover the expense of substance abuse rehabilitation. Once you have spoken with your military insurance representative (e.g., VA, TRICARE) and fully understand what they will cover regarding substance abuse treatment you can begin researching drug rehabilitation centers. Be sure to speak to the billing department of the drug rehab to make sure that they take your military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE). You will want to have a full understanding of what your part (if any) of the program costs you will be responsible for before you enroll into the facility.
