Joy - Gays and Lesbians

Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drugs and alcohol have the option of attending a drug rehabilitation facility that is specially designed for them. Deciding to enroll into one of these programs is a great first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only address their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal problems they are struggling with. Gays and Lesbians in recovery take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved. Counseling and/or therapy aids in resolving issues with isolation, shame, discomfort in one's own skin, feelings of rejection, etc. Once rehabilitation is complete they will be able to feel more secure about who they are and know that drugs and alcohol is not the solution.
