Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drugs and alcohol have the choice of going to a drug treatment facility that is specially intended for gays or lesbians. Making the decision to attend one of these programs is a great first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only address their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal issues they are struggling with. Gays and Lesbians in recovery examine how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved.
