  • Studies indicate that drug rehab treatment can cut drug abuse in half, reduce criminal activity up to 80 percent, and reduce arrests as much as 64 percent.
  • Most opiate users continue to use opiates despite serious physical or psychological harm because opiate addiction can be so all consuming.

Loma Mar - Medicare

Substance abuse and addiction affects every age, race and gender. For substance abusers that are 65 years or older, Medicare may be an option to pay for some if not all of their drug treatment. Medicare insurance will pay for the treatment of drug addiction or alcoholism in both outpatient and inpatient settings, as long as a few key points are addressed. The addict must obtain services from a Medicare-participating facility or provider. The drug addicted person's doctor recommends that the drug or alcohol treatment is medically necessary and that the patient's doctor creates the plan of treatment to be carried out. Additionally, Medicare will only cover a maximum of 190 days in a psychiatric hospital for the individual's entire lifetime.
