Drug or alcohol rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to provide these individuals the rehabilitation they need, there are a few steps that need to be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehabilitation center. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug treatment while involved in the Lookout Mountain, Georgia criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who determines if they are in need of drug treatment services and if so how much and what type is needed. Additionally, when the client is evaluated for drug addiction problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health issues as well. Their drug addiction problem, mental health problems, criminal activity, sentence length and previous substance abuse history are all determining variables in the creation of the rehabilitation plan.
