Detoxification services are provided at either a professional drug or alcohol detoxification facility or a drug rehabilitation facility which can effectively oversee and supply medical supervision for persons who are just coming off of drugs. Detoxification services often include insuring the individual is as relaxed as possible while detoxing and going through drug or alcohol withdrawal, supplying proper nutrition and ensuring the individual is receiving proper rest, and providing supplements and medicine as needed to make the detoxification process as smooth and safe as possible. The person in detoxification will sometimes be encouraged to take part in some form of physical activity such as walking, yoga, etc. At a drug detox facility or drug rehabilitation facility which can supply detoxification services, the person will have detoxification staff at their disposal around the clock to make sure that any complications are fixed as quickly and safely as possible.
