Men only drug rehabilitation programs are comparable to standard, co-ed treatment centers except all the participants are male. These gender specific recovery programs are beneficial for men because they are able to share past traumatic memories in an atmosphere where they can feel free of judgment and having to maintain a tough exterior at all times. The reasons men become addicted to drugs or alcohol is usually different than women.
