There are many ways to get part or all of your drug treatment covered. For those who want to use military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE) you will need to contact your provider directly to see exactly what you are eligible for. While both parts of TriCare (TriCare Standard and TriCare Extra) cover drug rehabilitation, only some VA benefits cover the expense of substance abuse recovery. Once you have spoken with your military insurance representative (e.g., VA, TRICARE) and fully understand what they will pay for regarding substance abuse treatment you can begin researching drug treatment programs.
