Drug treatment is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to get these clients the treatment they need, there are some steps that need to be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehab facility. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehab during their time in the Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts criminal justice system. Their case is reviewed by a panel who makes the decision if they are in need of drug treatment services and if so how much and what type is needed. Furthermore, when the client is evaluated for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health issues as well. Severity of addiction, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining factors in the creation of a criminal justice rehabilitation plan.
