Drug rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to get these clients the rehabilitation they need, there are some specific steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehab during their time in the Princeton, West Virginia criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who determines if they are in need of treatment and if so how much and what type is needed. Furthermore, when the client is evaluated for substance abuse problems, the client is also screened for mental health issues as well. Severity of addiction, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous substance abuse history are all determining factors in the creation of a criminal justice treatment plan.
