GET HELP LOCATING A DRUG TREATMENT PROGRAM
There are several ways to get part or all of your drug treatment paid for. For those who want to use military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE) you will need to contact your provider directly to see what you are eligible for. While both parts of TriCare (TriCare Standard and TriCare Extra) cover drug rehabilitation, only some VA benefits cover the expense of substance abuse rehabilitation. Once you have spoken with your military insurance provider (e.g., VA, TRICARE) and fully understand what they will cover regarding addiction treatment you can begin researching drug treatment centers. Be sure to speak to the billing department of the drug rehab to ensure that they take your military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE). You will want to have a full understanding of what your part (if any) of the program costs you will be responsible for before you enroll into the program.
