Facts

  • When cocaine users stop using cocaine, or when they end a cocaine binge, they almost immediately feel the "crash" which includes depression, fatigue, lack of pleasure, anxiety, irritability, sleepiness and a strong craving for more cocaine.
  • The most common route of administration of crack is to smoke the lumps of crack in a two-chambered water pipe.
  • PCP was first used recreationally in the 1960s and gained a reputation as a drug that could cause bad reactions and was not worth the risk.
  • Opiate injection caused the users to experience a more effective and timely high, which produces an intense feeling of pleasure followed by a sense of well-being and a calm drowsiness.

Reading, PA. - DUI/DWI Offenders

Drinking and driving, or driving while under the influence are serious offenses not to be taken lightly. Although each state has its own way of dealing with DUI/DWI offenders, there are some generalities that can be expected. Depending on the severity of the driver's intoxication and how strict the state laws are, they may have to serve time in jail for their offense. Once this is accomplished they will likely have additional retribution to do in order to drive a vehicle again. Many states require the person to undergo counseling and/or therapy to aid in their recovery process. Often these counseling sessions are held in a group setting by either a substance abuse counselor or a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. The state will define a set number of therapy hours that the DUI/DWI offender will need to attend.
