Salem - Gays and Lesbians

Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drug abuse have the choice of going to a drug treatment program that is specially intended for them. Choosing to attend one of these programs is an excellent first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only address their issues with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal issues they are having difficulties with. Gays and Lesbians in recovery take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved. Counseling and/or therapy helps in resolving issues with shame, Isolation, discomfort in one's own skin, feelings of rejection, etc. Once rehabilitation is complete they will be able to feel stronger about who they are and know that drugs and alcohol is not the solution.
