Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drugs and alcohol have the choice of attending a drug treatment facility that is specifically designed for gays or lesbians. Choosing to go to one of these programs is a very good first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only address their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also address other emotional and personal issues they are having difficulties with. Gays and Lesbians in treatment take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved.
