Gays and Lesbians - Seven Mile

Gays and lesbians who are having problems with drug abuse have the option of going to a drug treatment facility that is specifically intended for them. Making the decision to go to one of these programs is an excellent first step towards recovery. During rehabilitation recovering addicts not only deal with their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also handle other emotional and personal problems they are having difficulties with. Gays and Lesbians in treatment take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved. Counseling and/or therapy helps in resolving issues with isolation, shame, feelings of rejection, discomfort in one's own skin, etc. Once rehabilitation is complete they will be able to feel stronger about who they are and know that drugs and alcohol is not the solution.
