Gays and lesbians who develop problems with drugs and alcohol have the option of attending a drug rehabilitation program that is specially designed for gays or lesbians. Making the decision to go to one of these programs is a great first step towards recovery. During rehabilitation recovering addicts not only address their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also work on other emotional and personal issues they are having difficulties with.
