Detoxification services are supplied at either a professional drug or alcohol detox facility or a drug rehabilitation facility which can appropriately oversee and supply medical supervision for men and women who are just coming off of drugs. Detox services generally include insuring the client is as relaxed as possible while detoxing and going through drug or alcohol withdrawal, supplying proper nutrition and ensuring the person is getting proper rest, and providing supplements and medicine as necessary to make the detox process as easy and safe as possible. The person in detoxification will sometimes be encouraged to take part in some kind of physical activity such as walking, yoga, etc. At a drug detox facility or drug rehab facility which can present detoxification services, the person will have detoxification staff at their disposal around the clock to make sure that any issues are handled as quickly and safely as possible.
