Drug or alcohol treatment is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to provide these clients the treatment they need, there are some specific steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehab facility. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehabilitation during their time in the Wayland, Missouri criminal justice system. Their case is reviewed by a panel who decides if they are in need of rehabilitation and if so how much and what type is necessary. Additionally, when the client is evaluated for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health problems as well. Severity of addiction, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous substance abuse history are all determining factors in the creation of the treatment plan.
