Facts

  • Most opiate addicted individuals are no longer capable of holding down a job which often leads to loss of health insurance coverage. Diseases and conditions that develop as a result of opiate addiction are therefore often paid for through public funds because these individuals cannot pay for their own treatment.
  • Methamphetamine addicted individuals sometimes develop sores on their bodies where they have scratched at crank bugs', imaginary bugs they believe are crawling under their skin.
  • It is common for law enforcement agencies to come across illicitly produced fentanyl in their day to day operations and seizures.
  • The effects of methadone last longer than any other morphine-based narcotic.

West Des Moines - Residential Short-Term Rehabilitation (30 Days or Less)

A residential short-term treatment (30 days or less) program provides care 24 hours a day 7 days a week for an average of 30 days (or less) depending on the treatment center. The clients stay at the rehab facility and are ensured a fully alcohol and drug-free environment during their recovery process. While in treatment they handle their issues with drug and/or alcohol addiction while mastering how to go about their life without turning to substances to remedy their difficulties. When the client has finished their residential short-term treatment, they usually continue their recovery process by going into outpatient treatment, attending meetings, therapy or counseling. Seriously addicted persons who have a long history of substance abuse will benefit from residing at a sober living home after they complete treatment. This will help them solidify their new found sobriety and give them strength and support.
