Gays and lesbians who develop problems with drugs and alcohol have the option of attending a drug treatment program that is specifically designed for them. Choosing to enroll into one of these programs is a very good first step towards recovery. While in treatment recovering addicts not only address their problems with drugs and/or alcohol but also work on other emotional and personal issues they are struggling with. Gays and Lesbians in recovery take a closer look at how their destructive behavior was a result of inner feelings left unresolved.
