There are many ways to get part or all of your drug treatment covered. For those who have military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE) you will need to contact your provider directly to see exactly what you are eligible for. While both parts of TriCare (TriCare Standard and TriCare Extra) cover drug treatment, only some VA benefits cover the expense of substance abuse recovery. Once you have spoken with your military insurance provider (e.g., VA, TRICARE) and fully understand what exactly they will pay for regarding substance abuse treatment you can begin researching drug treatment facilities. Be sure to speak to the billing department to ensure that they take your military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE). You will want to have a full understanding of what your part (if any) of the cost of treatment will be before you enroll into the program.
