Facts

  • It has been proven that drug rehab reduces costs associated with health and social costs of addiction, by far more than the cost of the treatment itself.
  • Many young people who experiment with drugs cease drug use by age 30, but studies indicate that children of alcoholics do not follow that typical trend.
  • The euphoria from amphetamines often doesn't last very long and individuals soon experience an intense mental depression and fatigue.
  • The acetaminophen is added to Lortab to provide increased pain relief and to discourage recreational use of the drug, as high doses of acetaminophen can cause potentially fatal liver toxicity.

Winslow - Hospital Inpatient

Any person who is severely addicted to drugs or alcohol will benefit tremendously by attending a hospital inpatient program. These types of programs are focused towards physical health, mental health and medical stabilization. Recovering persons will have access to medication as well as medical staff around the clock. While not every person attempting recovery requires this level of care, it is beneficial to those who have severe physical addiction problems to drugs or alcohol. Hospital inpatient programs often last several days to several weeks. Once the hospital inpatient portion of their treatment plan is finished they may choose to participate at a sober living setting or transfer into an outpatient program.
