Drug or alcohol rehabilitation is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to provide these individuals the treatment they need, there are a few specific steps that need to be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol treatment program. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehab while involved in the Boelus, Nebraska criminal justice system. Their case is reviewed by a panel who determines if they are in need of treatment and if so how much and what type is necessary. Additionally, when they are evaluated for drug addiction problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health issues as well. Severity of addiction, mental health issues, criminal activity, sentence length and previous treatment history are all determining factors in the creation of the rehabilitation plan.
